Topic of future articles in this blog will include a discussion of spatial prerequisites and issues in the teaching of foreign languages and, in general, in language acquisation. In this context, I will study works of contemporary sociologists, who are starting to discuss space in new contexts to establish space as a key category of social thought. Thus, it will be of advantage to raise the question to what extend spatial usage influences the learning of a language.

I start getting interested in the life of Lucien Carr. Born in St. Louis (Missouri) like W.S. Burroughs (Naked Lunch), he is known as the "Fallen Angel" of the Beat Generation.
In New York, Lucien got involved with Allen Ginsberg, and enjoyed the company of Allen Ginsberg, whom he introduced to Jack Kerouac and W.S. Burroughs. While Ginsberg and Kerouac wrote famous texts for the Beat Generation (Howl, On the Road), Carr worked as a journalist and started his career in the national news.
Unlike other Beats (Ginsberg, Burroughs, Cassady), Carr was not a homosexual. However, the desire of his homosexual teacher, David Kammerer, should lead to Carr's downfall. Carr's teacher was excessively stalking Carr. There is little known about the relation between Kammerer and Carr. Kammerer was rejected several times by Carr and when he finally tried to abuse him, Carr stabbed Kammerer in despair. He was sentenced for manslaughter and spent two years in prison.
